What is the process? First, let’s chat! Get in touch to schedule a 15-minute welcome call to help us get to know your child. After that, we will work together to decide next steps. This could be an evaluation, a “get to know you” session, or jumping right into therapy. We make sure that you feel comfortable and supported the entire time.
Does Unicorn Speech accept insurance? Unicorn Speech does not have the ability to process internally billing and collections through individual insurance claims. We are happy to work with you and your insurance company to help with reimbursement.
How long are sessions? We will work with you for whatever works best for you and your child! Sessions can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes. The last 5-10 minutes (depending on session length) will be reserved for writing a treatment note and/or communication with the parent/caregiver.
Where are sessions? Sessions can be conducted at your home, a mutually agreed upon location (e.g., library, park), or virtually. Sometimes it is best to have a quiet and private space to allow for the best focus; however, sometimes a park or other outdoor setting is totally appropriate!
What is the cost? Pricing is different for evaluations and therapy and can vary within each area. Set up a 15-minute welcome call so we can get to know your child and how to best support them!
What does speech therapy look like? Whatever works best for you and your child! Unicorn Speech makes sure that every child receives a unique and specialized plan, because every child is unique and special. We hope our speech therapy will be fun, effective, rewarding!
